About The Position

The purpose of this position is to facilitate the safe and timely transportation/delivery of Beck’s Hybrids products.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Attend a multi-week onboarding, training, and check-ride program of instruction at the Beck’s Hybrids Atlanta Headquarters.
  • CDL with manual transmission endorsement
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record as determined by Beck’s automobile insurance policy.
  • This is a safety-sensitive position.
  • At least 21 years of age or older
  • Must have oversize load hauling experience.
  • Must be able to pass DOT physical examination and obtain Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds unassisted.
  • Willing and able to work outside in various climates, geographic locations, and weather conditions.
  • Willing and able to work a minimum 45-hour work week and overtime when required.
  • Willing to conduct long haul / overnight tasks as required.
  • Willingly submit to required substance testing and training as required by FMCSA directives, state law, and Beck’s Hybrids policy.
  • Maintain and comply with Driver’s Daily Logs and electronic system tracking.
  • Must submit to a drug test and background check, subject to applicable local, state, or federal laws or regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Live out the Beck’s Hybrids Attitudes and Actions: Teamwork, Integrity, Innovation, Adaptability, Commitment, Passion.
  • Remain current on all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulation changes.
  • During deliveries and in all interactions, serve as a Beck’s Hybrids representative ambassador to each customer and during community engagements.
  • Safely operate and coordinate maintenance for assigned equipment to published company standards – conduct routine pre-movement and post-movement preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain a close relationship with the fleet manager, Logistics Operations Specialist, and Lead.
  • Manage all loads with respect to safety and weight limits.
  • Assist co-workers as required during loading / off-loading and warehouse operations.
  • Understand and comply with the company’s procedures for paperwork concerning pickups, deliveries, and seed returns.
  • Perform other related duties as directed by Distribution and Sales Support Managers.
