About The Position

This Athletic Assistant position is specifically responsible for the direct supervision and administrative duties of the Texas A&M University’s Aggie Dance Team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- General knowledge of NCAA rules
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet and database programs
- Interpersonal and communication skills and ability to plan and organize effectively
- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others

- Professional dance experience
- Choreography experience
Responsibilities
- Direct administrative duties of the Texas A&M University’s Aggie Dance Team
- Direct and organize fund raising activities
- Supervise out of town team travel to post season basketball tournaments for SEC and NCAA competitions
- Supervise team try-outs and team selection process
- Attend morning/weekend practices, workouts and dance team performances at home athletic contests
- Maintain continual and thorough familiarity with all applicable NCAA, Conference and University rules and regulations
- Establish and ensure communication and enforcement of rules and regulations for all staff members and student workers supervised
