About The Position
Geo-Technology Associates (GTA) office in Quakertown, PA is seeking experienced candidates for a Construction Inspector position. In this position, you will provide a wide range of observation and testing services for geotechnical and environmental development projects for a diverse client base in the private and public sectors. Responsibilities include monitoring and testing the moisture and density of soils using a nuclear density testing gauge; testing of concrete, asphalt and other materials. You will also observe and document construction activities to assure compliance with technical specifications, prepare daily field reports and test summaries documenting the work being performed. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
Requirements
- Reliable vehicle, good driving record and valid driver's license
- Physical capability to carry equipment/samples >50 lbs on uneven ground
- High school diploma/GED with good writing and math skills
- Ability and willingness to work almost entirely outdoors
- Perform extensive fieldwork
- Travel significant distances to project sites
