About The Position

Performs composite repairs related to molds, wet and pre-preg layup, repair of existing structures pertaining to Honeycomb, Carbon Kevlar and Fiberglass construction. This role involves performing hot and/or cold bond repairs according to the Aircraft SRM, EAs, and other approved documentation, often with direct supervision. The technician will identify damaged components, learn proper repair techniques and materials, and master sanding, trimming, priming, and fitting repairs. Following repair sequences, completing necessary forms, and adhering to all safety procedures are crucial. The role also includes cleaning work areas, documenting daily accomplishments, and performing other assigned tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • 3+ Years of composite experience and/or education/training
  • Must be able to pass background check, drug screen, and physical.
  • FAA Airframe license required

Responsibilities

  • Perform hot and/or cold bond repairs per the Aircraft SRM, EAs & other approved documentation with direct supervision.
  • Identify damaged components by visual or tapping method with direct supervision.
  • Learn proper repair technique and materials required.
  • Learn proper techniques to sand, trim, prime and fit repairs to parts.
  • Follow instructions for repair sequences, and completing necessary forms.
  • Understand and observe all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Clean and remove any foreign objects generated during the course of effecting repairs.
  • Comply with all safety procedures at all times, without exception.
  • Document all work accomplished on a daily basis.
  • Perform such other tasks as may be reasonably assigned by her his supervisor.
