About The Position
MBK Machine, a high-precision machine shop in Frederick, Colorado, is seeking a CNC Mill Setup and Operator Machinist for their weekday shift. The role involves overseeing operational activities, ensuring quality control, and contributing to the production of parts for small and large quantities, prototypes, and R&D projects. MBK Machine has been in business for over 30 years, providing custom machining services nationwide and globally, with a focus on smart solutions, precision machining, and professional customer service. The owner, D’Wayne Cook, leads a qualified technical staff of Machinists, Programmers, and Engineers who collaborate with customers to optimize value and suggest alternatives. The company also offers third-party inspection services.
Requirements
- Previous experience in shop operations or other related fields
- Familiarity with machine shop and quality lab tools and equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Job preparation including building tools, fixturing, material prep, loading work/tool offsets, etc. according to programmer specifications
- Coordinate with programmers on job progress & potential improvements
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion
- Load and unload equipment and materials
- Provide innovative solutions to improve shop efficiency
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on the shop floor
- Log and record readings for machined parts
