About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior experience operating and setting up CNC mills, including 3-axis and/or 5-axis mills.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, including GD&T tolerancing.
• Proficiency using measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, comparators, and height gauges.
• Attention to detail and a meticulous focus on quality.
• Ability to work as part of a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and accept mentorship.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean machine-shop environment.

Nice To Haves

• Vocational training in precision machining.
• CNC programming experience.
• Experience with HAAS, TRAK, or Heidenhain equipment.
• Experience with profile tolerancing.

Responsibilities

• Operate 3-axis and/or 5-axis CNC mills to machine parts efficiently.
• Set up jobs by following setup sheets or reviewing CAM programs.
• Evaluate parts and develop an effective machining plan.
• Inspect finished work and adjust tool and machine offsets to ensure parts meet requirements.
• Apply cutting-tool and toolpath knowledge, potentially exploring the capabilities of current cutting-tool technology.
• Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, bore gauges, indicators, and height gauges.
• Assist in developing and documenting repeatable processes for transition to production.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in accordance with safety standards.
• Follow other job-related instructions and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
