Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Requires a minimum of three (3) years dietary experience in a health care facility, with concentration in nutritional in nutritional assessment and planning.
- Current Registration with the American Dietetic Association (RD or RDN) or similar organization and licensure per state of practice required
Responsibilities
- Dietician approves menus including modified diets, provides nutritional assessments for patients as needed, and provides counsel to patients and their families on dietary plans, food selections, preparation, and nutritional principles.
- The Dietician monitors the performance improvement plans of the Dietary Services department and provides input in the development and implementation of patient care plans in relation to nutritional needs.
