About The Position
EastView is seeking a Rounds Chef to support our culinary team and ensure our residents enjoy high-quality, beautifully prepared meals every day. This dynamic role requires strong culinary skills, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset. As a Rounds Chef, you’ll assist wherever needed in the kitchen, contributing to the preparation, cooking, and timely coordination of meals using standardized recipes and production methods that uphold EastView’s commitment to excellence. This role is perfect for a skilled, adaptable cook who thrives in a high-quality, high-volume kitchen.
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in a high-volume restaurant, hotel, or similar setting.
- Strong knife skills and ability to read/scale recipes.
- ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Team player with flexibility for rotating shifts.
Nice To Haves
- Culinary degree preferred but not necessary.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and plate menu items to EastView’s quality standards.
- Follow recipes and prep lists to ensure consistency.
- Operate industrial kitchen equipment safely.
- Maintain sanitation and food safety practices.
- Assist with inventory and receiving orders.
