Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
• Several years of purchasing or procurement experience in a professional setting
• Knowledge of accounting, inventory control, and supply chain processes
• Experience working with enterprise resource planning systems
• Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
• Analytical thinking and a results driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Secure raw materials, equipment, and services needed to support plant operations
• Negotiate complex contracts to achieve strong service, quality, and cost outcomes
• Evaluate supplier performance and recommend improvements, including managing supplier exceptions and audits
• Integrate materials planning with sales and operations planning to support efficient procurement activities
• Coordinate inventory targets and support cash cycle objectives related to raw materials
• Analyze current processes, recommend improvements, and implement changes
• Communicate updates on raw material costs and purchasing activities to cross functional teams and leadership
