About The Position
The Barista position at Chateau on the Lake is a full-time role responsible for preparing and serving coffee drinks and food items. The role involves maintaining a clean and organized café environment, enhancing the guest experience through menu knowledge, and accurately handling transactions. This position requires a flexible schedule and an outgoing personality with a passion for hospitality.
Requirements
- Prior customer service experience required
- Food service experience preferred
- Food Safety and Alcohol Awareness certifications (or willingness to complete within 90 days)
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout your shift
- Flexible availability including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Outgoing, upbeat personality with a passion for making people feel welcome
Responsibilities
- Prepare delicious coffee drinks and serve food items with attention to presentation and guest preferences
- Keep the café clean, organized, and well-stocked, from pastries to retail displays
- Share your knowledge of the menu and hotel amenities to enhance the guest experience
- Handle transactions accurately and maintain the cash drawer in line with company policy
- Follow safety and sanitation standards, ensuring all equipment and food areas stay clean and compliant
