Requirements

• Previous hospitality experience.
• Previous barbacking experience.
• Ability to write and communicate verbally.
• Ability to print legibly for team members, management, and guests.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and move quickly.
• Ability to push and lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to maintain positive energy throughout the day.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and interact professionally and courteously with internal and external customers, managers, and coworkers.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment.
• Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance in accordance with company standards.
• Ability to work extended hours, irregular shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate and accommodate guest needs in a timely manner and provide professional, exceptional service.
• Help deliver food and beverages to guests and assist bartenders in maintaining quality and speedy service.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the bar, bar area, venue, storage areas, and refrigeration.
• Follow supervisor instructions and communicate with and support coworkers as part of a team.
• Maintain general knowledge of food and beverage menus, company policies, and procedures.
• Comply with Department of Health and company sanitation standards.
• Communicate guest needs to Front-of-House and Heart-of-House support staff, managers, and chefs.
• Set up bar stations with required equipment and supplies; perform opening and closing side-work as directed.
• Clean bar tops, stools, lounge tables, and chairs, and keep the bar area free of debris.
• Follow beverage requisition procedures and maintain liquor displays, shelving, and par levels.
• Empty and correctly dispose of trash behind the bar, breaking down cardboard boxes.
• Report equipment or furniture breakage and damage to management immediately.
• Attend and participate in daily pre-service meetings, training sessions, and departmental meetings.
• Learn from and share knowledge with team members, leading by example and maintaining a positive, professional attitude.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality, its partners, and supporting hotel environments.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned.
