About The Position

PBS Truss Manufacturing Ltd. is seeking reliable and detail-oriented individuals to join their team as an Assembler on the production line. The role involves assembling wooden trusses and wall panels using automated equipment and hand tools, ensuring products meet exact specifications and quality standards. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position offering steady, year-round indoor work, free from weather delays and seasonal slowdowns. The new facility provides a clean, modern working environment within a collaborative, skilled team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, construction, or a related field is an asset (truss plant experience preferred).
  • Experience using production tools such as component saws (multi-blade or single blade machinery) is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of workplace safety practices and willingness to follow safety guidelines.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, and stand for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with varying noise levels.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble wooden trusses and wall panels according to specifications, ensuring high-quality and accurate workmanship.
  • Operate and maintain automated assembly tables and other production tools and equipment.
  • Inspect materials and completed products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials within the facility as needed.
  • Support other production activities such as cutting materials, stacking products, or preparing orders for shipping.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and processes.
