About The Position

This role requires an individual with solid technical knowledge and manual dexterity to assemble components according to instructions, drawings, and specifications. The Assembler I will be responsible for preparing assembly instructions, gathering parts and materials, positioning and fastening subassemblies, and performing quality checks to ensure accuracy and meet specifications. The position also involves adhering to safety procedures, maintaining equipment, managing inventory, and contributing to team efforts. Other duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Experience in woodworking, carpentry, manual labor, construction, or production background required.
  • Experience using tools including, but not limited to, table saw, mitre saw, chop saw, circular Saw, router, drill, impact driver, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Experience in Netsuite and Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Possess solid technical knowledge and manual dexterity.
  • Read and follow instruction manuals, drawings, and schematics with precision.
  • Measure and make accurate cuts to materials.
  • Study and prepare assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, including gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Position parts and subassemblies using templates or by reading measurements.
  • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts and subassemblies.
  • Examine assembled parts for accuracy in dimensions, color, and visual defects to meet work order or drawing specifications.
  • Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications and notifying supervisors for additional resources.
  • Follow all applicable safety procedures, including requesting assistance for loads exceeding 40 pounds, proper handling of raw materials, and following operational instructions when using tools and equipment.
  • Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling maintenance for repairs.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations according to 5S practices.
  • Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders, and verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
