About The Position

Intergalactic, now part of Unison, a GE Aerospace Company, is a team of engineers, technologists, designers, mathematicians, and problem solvers committed to reviving the no-boundaries mentality in aerospace. This role supports assembly and inspection activities by following written work instructions, processes, and procedures to ensure quality and accuracy. Responsibilities include wiring tasks, basic measurements, visual inspections, functional testing, and the safe use of tools, test equipment, and hazardous materials.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED
Actively participate in a teaming environment that uses lean and 5S practices to improve products and processes
Basic computer skills
Basic math skills
Basic ERP skills
Basic written and verbal communications skills
At least 18 years of age by the time of joining

Nice To Haves

Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Soldering and electronics manufacturing experience
Assembly experience
Braze experience
Dimensional and electrical training

Responsibilities

Follow written work instructions, processes and procedures
Perform visual & basic measurement inspection of parts subsequent to assembly steps
Obtain all required certifications of department
Cut, strip, and crimp wire as required
Operate test equipment as required
Work with hazardous materials
Use a wide variety of hand and/or power tools as required
Perform weight measuring as required
Read and interpret dimensional measurements as required (calipers, and scales)
Perform functional tests using a variety of equipment to verify accuracy and functionality (i.e. electrical, helium, and leak tests as required)
Cross-train as required
Lift up to 25 pounds
