Responsibilities

• Receive emergency calls through multi-line phone systems and conduct professional, compassionate phone triage.
• Use GIS and GPS technology to identify precise incident locations and promptly dispatch appropriate ambulance units.
• Coordinate with law enforcement agencies when necessary, providing clear communication and support during emergencies.
• Enter information accurately into dispatch systems and maintain detailed records of incidents, response times, and resource allocation.
• Prioritize calls by severity and manage dispatch operations to ensure rapid deployment of medical units while maintaining situational awareness.
• Use medical terminology knowledge during call assessments to gather relevant information for emergency responders.
• Handle distressed callers and difficult situations professionally and calmly, using conflict management skills.
• Follow security protocols and confidentiality standards when handling sensitive emergency information.
