About The Position

As a Delivery Driver at Graybar, you will have face-to-face contact with customers while delivering orders. You will safely drive a Graybar truck or van from the warehouse to each destination, provide on-time delivery and good customer service, maintain positive customer relations, pass along customer feedback, and promote services and products. The position follows a local route, with no overnights or weekends away. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and the driver is home each night.

Requirements

• Customer service skills.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of working in a warehouse environment and pass pre-employment physical testing.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and use personal protective equipment (PPE) properly.
• Experience driving a van or truck with a gross vehicle weight of 26,000 pounds or less.
• A valid driver's license issued by the applicant's state of residence, appropriate for the type of vehicle.
• Ability to pass a DOT medical exam and Commercial Motor Vehicle Certification.

Responsibilities

• Help determine the best routes for delivery to meet customer expectations.
• Deliver products to Graybar customers while providing excellent customer service.
• Load and unload trucks using warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Inspect the vehicle and supplies.
• Safely operate the vehicle at all times.
• Maintain proper truck logs.
• Maintain positive customer relations, pass along customer feedback, and promote services and products.
