About The Position

As a Delivery Driver, you will deliver orders from the warehouse to customers in a Graybar truck or van, providing safe, on-time delivery and good customer service. You will maintain positive customer relations, relay customer feedback, and promote Graybar services and products. The role involves a local route, with no overnight stays or weekends away. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The expected starting pay is $23.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

• Customer service skills.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of working in a warehouse environment and pass pre-employment physical testing.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Experience driving a van or truck with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVW) of 26,000 pounds or less.
• A valid driver's license issued by the driver's state of residence and appropriate for the type of vehicle.
• Ability to pass a DOT medical exam and Commercial Motor Vehicle Certification.

Responsibilities

• Help determine the best delivery routes to meet customer expectations.
• Deliver products to Graybar customers while providing excellent customer service.
• Load and unload trucks using warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Inspect the vehicle and supplies.
• Safely operate the vehicle at all times.
• Maintain proper truck logs.
• Maintain positive customer relations, pass along customer feedback, and promote services and products.
