About The Position

The Zone Delivery Driver safely operates a Graybar truck or van to deliver orders from the warehouse to customers. The driver provides on-time delivery and good customer service, maintains positive customer relations, passes along customer feedback, and promotes Graybar services and products. The position works a local route and drivers are home each night, with no weekends away.

The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The expected starting pay rate is $23.00 per hour, depending on experience. Requirements

• Customer service skills.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of working in a warehouse environment and pass pre-employment physical testing.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Experience driving a van or truck with a gross vehicle weight of 26,000 pounds or less.
• Valid driver's license issued by the driver's state of residence and appropriate for the vehicle type.
• Ability to pass a DOT medical exam and Commercial Motor Vehicle Certification.

Responsibilities

• Help determine the best routes for delivery to meet customer expectations.
• Deliver products to Graybar customers while providing excellent customer service.
• Load and unload trucks using warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Inspect the vehicle and supplies.
• Safely operate the vehicle at all times.
• Maintain proper truck logs.
• Maintain positive customer relations, pass along customer feedback, and promote services and products.
