Youth Tennis Coach
About The Position
Euro School of Tennis is hiring friendly and reliable Tennis Coaches to teach beginner-level tennis to children in Grades K–3 at various elementary schools across the Bay Area. Training, lesson plans, and equipment are provided. Classes are generally 1–1.5 hours long and may start between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Two or more days per week are preferred; the source ad lists approximately 2–5 hours weekly. Coaches manage groups of 8–10 children in after-school programs and up to 8 students in clinics. This is an in-person, part-time position paying $18.00–$24.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Must be 19 years or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Enjoy working with children.
- Be reliable, positive, and willing to learn.
- Have good communication and classroom management skills.
- Have reliable transportation.
- Be able to complete a background check and meet vaccination requirements.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.
Nice To Haves
- Tennis playing or coaching experience.
- USPTA or PTR certification.
- Availability to work two or more days per week.
Responsibilities
- Teach fun and engaging beginner-level tennis lessons to children in Grades K–3.
- Set up equipment and take attendance.
- Keep classes safe, active, and enjoyable.
- Communicate with parents and school staff.
