About The Position

As an After School Tennis Coach, you will lead engaging tennis classes for students in grades K–5 at various elementary schools across the Bay Area. You will create a fun, supportive environment where children can learn, play, and thrive. Classes serve 8–16 students ages 5–10 and use provided lesson plans. The schedule is flexible, with classes running one to one and a half hours between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Coaches work two or more days per week, for a maximum of 2–5 hours weekly. The role includes a two-day training session and pays $50–$65 per class. Candidates must be local to the US or have a valid working visa; visa assistance is not provided.

Requirements

• Must be at least 19 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Passion for working with children and creating a positive learning atmosphere.
• Strong communication skills and a resilient, positive attitude.
• Reliable transportation throughout the East and South Bay and Peninsula.
• Must be local to the US or possess a valid working visa; visa assistance is not provided.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience teaching or playing tennis.
• USPTA or PTR certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage and energize classes of 8–16 students ages 5–10.
• Deliver engaging tennis lessons using provided lesson plans.
• Participate in a two-day training session.
• Set up and transport tennis equipment.
• Take attendance and manage student sign-in and sign-out procedures.
• Communicate positively with parents and school staff.
• Provide constructive feedback on each student’s progress.
• Take photos of children during sessions to showcase their progress.
