About The Position

ANTS (America's Next Talented Stars) seeks passionate, committed part-time Youth Tennis Coaches to lead or assist beginner tennis programs for K–5 students in Oakland, Piedmont, and the greater East Bay during the Winter/Spring 2027 season. The season runs January through May 2027, and coaches must be available for the entire season. No previous coaching experience is required; ANTS provides training, equipment, and support. Coaches may also have opportunities to coach other sports, including basketball, soccer, flag football, and pickleball. The time commitment is 1–15 hours per week, depending on the number of classes taught. Classes generally take place between 3 and 6 p.m. on the same day each week, run for 10–14 weeks, and last 1–1.5 hours. Some locations offer back-to-back classes for different age groups. Coaches must be available at least one afternoon per week on their program day. ANTS works with coaches to assign locations that suit them. Strong coaches may be offered future seasonal work, including the full school year and weekend or summer programs.
