About The Position

The Youth Services Specialist II assists the Supervisor with the operation and programming needs of the Youth Services Department. This role involves developing age-appropriate programs, assisting with collection development and maintenance, utilizing technology in services to youth, helping customers with information requests, assisting with grant writing, and traveling to outreach events and off-site programs. The Muncie Public Library (MPL) aims to provide accessible and innovative services to meet the community's reading, informational, educational, and enrichment needs. Maring-Hunt Library, a branch of MPL, offers a wide range of resources and programs for all ages, including early literacy and after-school programs, computer access, Wi-Fi, and community meeting spaces. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Ability to obtain an LC4 or higher Indiana Librarian Certification (IAC 5-1-8)
