About The Position

The Youth Programs Director leads youth offerings, including After School programs, Summer Camps, Kids Day Off, Kids Nights Out, and other activities. The role combines program development and delivery with team leadership and operational oversight. The director hires, trains, mentors, schedules, coaches, and evaluates staff; communicates with team members, families, and club members; addresses member concerns; and develops creative programs and special events that support revenue and enhance the club. The position also helps maintain clean, safe, and organized facilities and equipment and ensures programs comply with licensing guidelines and safety standards. The role calls for a positive, energetic, team-oriented approach and a commitment to providing children with a safe, supportive environment. The director may lead activities or assist with cleanup, support club-wide initiatives and events, respond to messages promptly, and help maintain a welcoming club environment. Requirements

A college degree.
Knowledge of state licensing requirements, or ability to learn them quickly.
A clean background check, as required by social services.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Passion for working with children and creating a safe, supportive environment.
Technology skills sufficient to manage scheduling, email, and basic reporting.
Willingness to help with activities and cleanup as needed.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lead activities indoors and outdoors.
Comfort working in warm, humid outdoor environments.
Schedule flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.
Team-oriented approach, positive attitude, timely responsiveness, and willingness to help maintain a clean and welcoming club.

Responsibilities

Lead youth programs, including After School programs, Summer Camps, Kids Day Off, Kids Nights Out, and other offerings.
Hire, train, mentor, schedule, coach, and evaluate youth program staff.

Create fun, creative programs that generate revenue.
Plan and run special events for the department and club.
Keep program spaces, equipment, and facilities clean, safe, and organized.
Ensure programs meet licensing guidelines and safety standards.
Participate in activities and assist with cleanup as needed.
Support club-wide initiatives and special events, including those outside the department.
Represent the club positively and provide excellent service.
