Youth Mentor & Soccer Coach
About The Position
Soccer Shots Long Island West is seeking passionate and energetic individuals to join our team as Youth Mentors & Soccer Coaches. This role involves leading fun, high-energy soccer sessions for children aged 2-8, focusing on developing soccer skills, character, confidence, and positive life lessons. Coaches will create memorable experiences that help children grow both on and off the field. We offer flexible scheduling, paid training, opportunities for advancement, and a supportive team culture. We are committed to building schedules around your availability and placing you at convenient locations.
Requirements
- No coaching experience required
- Ability to coach both indoors and outdoors
- Comfortable being active and managing the energy of young children
- Available to coach anywhere from 5–25 sessions per week, depending on your schedule
- Passion for working with children and making a positive impact
- Energetic, engaging, and reliable
- Responsible and safety-conscious
- Excited to give back to the Long Island community
- Comfortable leading groups of young children in active environments
Nice To Haves
- Soccer playing experience is a bonus
Responsibilities
- Lead fun, high-energy soccer sessions for children ages 2–8
- Conduct 30–50 minute classes at various locations including preschools, daycares, parks, community centers, elementary schools, and indoor facilities
- Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
- Teach soccer fundamentals and character-building lessons using Soccer Shots' curriculum
- Arrive 15 minutes early to set up and prepare for each session
- Communicate professionally with families, teachers, and site staff
- Follow attendance, safety, and program protocols
- Bring enthusiasm, creativity, and positive energy to every class
