Youth Mentor & Soccer Coach
About The Position
Soccer Shots Long Island West is seeking passionate and energetic individuals to join our team as Youth Mentors & Soccer Coaches. This role involves leading fun, high-energy soccer sessions for children aged 2-8, teaching them soccer fundamentals and character-building lessons. Coaches will create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment, working with children at various locations including preschools, daycares, parks, community centers, elementary schools, and indoor facilities. The position requires arriving 15 minutes early to set up, communicating professionally with families and staff, and following program protocols. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, safety-conscious, and excited to make a positive impact on children's lives and the Long Island community.
Requirements
- No coaching experience required
- Soccer playing experience at any level is a plus
- Ability to coach both indoors and outdoors
- Comfortable being active and managing the energy of young children
- Available to coach anywhere from 5–25 sessions per week, depending on your schedule

Responsibilities
- Lead fun, high-energy soccer sessions for children ages 2–8
- Conduct 30–50 minute classes at preschools, daycares, parks, community centers, elementary schools, and indoor facilities
- Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
- Teach soccer fundamentals and character-building lessons using Soccer Shots' curriculum
- Arrive 15 minutes early to set up and prepare for each session
- Communicate professionally with families, teachers, and site staff
- Follow attendance, safety, and program protocols
- Bring enthusiasm, creativity, and positive energy to every class
