About The Position

Methodist Home for Children is hiring a full-time Youth Care Worker to support at-risk youth ages 10–17 at its Butner, North Carolina location. This hands-on, purpose-driven role involves providing guidance and helping youth move toward a better path. Available schedules include day shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., working 3–4 days or nights per week.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Hold a valid North Carolina driver’s license.
• Be able to pass background checks and complete training.
• Be ready to work 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a steady, positive role model for youth.
• Engage youth in structured, goal-oriented activities.
• Support individualized care and assessments.
• Help maintain a calm, safe, and supportive environment.
