AC-Youth Care Worker
About The Position
Methodist Home for Children is hiring Youth Care Staff for its Juvenile Crisis and Assessment Center in Kinston, North Carolina. Operated in partnership with the NC Department of Public Safety, the center serves youth ages 10–17 who need a safe, structured environment and an opportunity to reset. The Youth Care Staff member engages youth in daily routines, supports assessment activities, and models positive behavior while helping create a safe, encouraging space where youth can learn and thrive. The schedule is a 12-hour night shift from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Pay is $15 or more per hour, based on education and experience. Benefits are available after 90 days.
Requirements
- At least 21 years old.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid North Carolina driver’s license.
- Successful completion of required screenings and trainings.
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts.

- Support individualized service plans and assessment activities.
- Maintain a calm, non-punitive environment that motivates and supports youth.
