About The Position

Rite of Passage is hiring a Youth Care Worker at Daytona Juvenile Residential Facility in Daytona Beach, Florida. The role provides safety and around-the-clock supervision for youth in the program, while creating an atmosphere supportive of students’ needs. The Youth Care Worker monitors and documents student behaviors and activities, participates in and assists with educational, social, athletic, and recreational activities, and collaborates with other professional staff to establish and meet each student’s treatment goals. The position offers an opportunity to help create a positive, safe, and supportive environment for youth.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 21 years of age.
• At least 1 year of equivalent experience.
• Current state driver’s license and acceptable driving record for the past three years.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety and around-the-clock supervision for youth in the program.
• Provide an atmosphere that is supportive of students’ needs.
• Monitor and document student behaviors and activities.
• Participate in and assist with educational, social, athletic, and recreational activities.
• Collaborate with other professional staff to establish and meet each student’s treatment goals.
