About The Position

One Hope United’s residential care program provides a range of quality services to adolescents in foster care. Youth entering residential care are traumatized and sometimes in crisis. As a Youth Care Worker in our residential program, you are a part of a team that provides a range of mental health services to our youth. Only overnight shifts available (10:00p - 10:00a or 11:00p - 10:00a; 4 days/week).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be 21-years-old according to contract requirements
  • Auto Insurance
  • Driver's License
  • Physical Exam/TB

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years of human services experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provides supervision for the youth in their residential home.
  • Trains, models, and builds skills for the youth.
  • Teaches youth skills in daily living, recreational activities, socialization, and independent living through individual and group instruction.
  • Empowers youth toward the goals outlined in their Individual Treatment Plans and the OHU Residential Program Plans.
  • Is trained in the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) approved behavior modification program (receiving a certification!).
  • Is a vital part of the youth’s growth and development.
  • Provides care and treatment to youth that is strength based, trauma informed, and person centered.
