About The Position

Rockwell Automation is hiring a Youth Apprentice to support the movement and accuracy of materials throughout its facility. The role performs shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution tasks for materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. The apprentice primarily uses a CS150 Cubiscan tool to measure parts and record measurements. As needed, the role may support inventory control, cycle counts, shipment processing, material storage and distribution, kitting, and forklift operation. The apprentice works as part of the Materials and Logistics Team in a clean, air-conditioned warehouse/manufacturing environment and reports to the Manager, Production and Inventory Control.

Responsibilities

• Use the CS150 Cubiscan tool to measure various parts and record measurements.
• Perform cycle counting, inventory control, and inventory record maintenance as needed to ensure material accuracy.
• Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and invoices, document discrepancies, and reject unsatisfactory items as needed.
• Prepare, package, document, and process outgoing shipments; maintain shipping records and post shipping weights and charges as needed.
• Stock, store, and distribute materials, parts, supplies, and equipment to inventory locations and manufacturing lines as needed.
• Prepare kitting packages for assembly and operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, as needed.
