About The Position

The Male Young Adult Ministry Associate supports the Young Adult Director in implementing the mission, vision, and strategy of The Co. The role helps make disciples of Jesus Christ by shepherding young adults, developing leaders, supporting discipleship environments, and assisting with ministry initiatives. The associate divides time among shepherding and discipleship, leadership development, Co-Groups and Small Groups, and ministry execution. The associate serves as a primary shepherd and disciple-maker for male young adults, builds relationships that encourage spiritual growth and biblical maturity, offers discipleship and spiritual care, helps identify care needs, and connects people with appropriate church resources. Responsibilities include leading and equipping five Co-Group Leader Teams, developing training and resources for Co-Group leaders, collaborating with Men’s Ministry to equip small-group study leaders, and visiting each Co-Group once per season to support healthy Co-Ed groups. There may be opportunities to teach at The Co periodically, depending on giftedness and ministry needs. The role assists with Tuesday night gatherings, supports volunteer teams, helps with retreats, conferences, outreach, and special events, and works to ensure ministry environments are welcoming, organized, and effective. It also oversees the Media Team Leads on Tuesday nights and follows up with new young adults as directed by the ministry assistant. The associate collaborates with staff, volunteers, and church departments, supports ministry culture and discipleship pathways, and performs other work assigned by the supervisor.
