About The Position

General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. The role involves setting up, adjusting, and breaking down production line machinery; learning and using Tyson SAP software to create work orders and complete required daily documentation; and communicating equipment repair status to upper management and team members by phone, in person, and in writing. The successful candidate must complete required training, follow Tyson’s safety culture, and be able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. The position is based in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, and is assigned to the third shift. Applicants must be available to work overtime and weekends if required. Pay is determined by skill level.

Requirements

At least one year of industrial-related maintenance experience listed in the application and/or technical certifications.
Working knowledge of electricity, power transmissions, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, cutting, and the use of shop tools.
Ability to read and write where required.
Ability to use math for work-related computations involving machinery, fluid capacities, and similar needs.
Ability to lift 70 pounds with assistance on a daily basis.
Ability to work on feet for 12 hours.
Ability to communicate clearly with upper management and team members by phone, in person, and in writing.
Must be available to work overtime and weekends if required.
Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
