About The Position

The Maintenance Generalist is responsible for keeping machinery running to support continuous production. The role involves setting up, adjusting, and breaking down production line machinery, and learning to use Tyson SAP software to create work orders and complete required daily documentation. The successful candidate must communicate equipment repair status clearly to upper management and team members by phone, in person, and in writing. Applicants must be willing to complete required training and work overtime and weekends if required. The position is intended for team members currently working at the Broken Bow facility or complex. Internal candidates will be considered first; external applicants may be considered if no qualified internal candidate is selected. The successful candidate must be able to perform the physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

At least one year of related maintenance experience listed in the application and/or technical certifications.
Working knowledge of electricity, power transmissions, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, cutting, and shop tools.
Ability to read and write where required.
Ability to use math for work-related computations, including machinery and fluid capacities.
Willingness and ability to lift 70 pounds with assistance daily and work on one's feet for 12 hours.
Willingness to work overtime and weekends if required.
Must not have received a Written Warning within the six months before the bid date.
Must have no more than 6 points to be considered; employees hired into a maintenance position must remain below 10 points to maintain the role.
Position is limited to team members currently working at the facility or complex.
