Yard Technician
About The Position
Xylem is a global water solutions company with 23,000 employees operating in over 150 countries. The Yard Technician works across HUB operations, supporting Solutions rental operations, equipment repair, inventory management, loading and shipping, and logistics. The position involves receiving and staging equipment for rental projects, maintaining equipment inventory, operating forklifts, and assisting with equipment repair and testing to support safety, efficiency, operational continuity, and customer satisfaction. The role may also involve assisting at customer locations with setup when needed.
Requirements
- Three to five years of experience in shipping, receiving, and loading and unloading.
- Valid driver's license.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
- Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Forklift driving skills.
- Computer proficiency.
- Experience loading and unloading tractor trailers using a telehandler and 25,000-pound forklifts.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outside as needed.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support multiple operational functions.

- Previous inventory control, shipping and receiving, or logistics experience.
- Desire to grow into other positions within the company.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload deliveries from company branches and transportation carriers.
- Organize and manage rental fleet inventory efficiently.
- Assist with setting rental fleet pumps for lake testing.
- Prepare rental fleet equipment for repair and shipment to upcoming jobs.
- Check in returned rental fleet equipment coming off rent.
- Assist at customer locations with setup when needed.
- Follow company safety procedures and best practices.
