About The Position

Doodie Calls is a portable sanitation company serving construction sites, homes, special events, and disaster relief. The Yard Technician keeps the storage yard operating by checking units in and out, cleaning and repairing them, and moving them with a forklift or telehandler so drivers can load out on time. This is hands-on outdoor work supporting daily deliveries.

The role involves pressure washing and sanitizing portable restrooms, trailers, and vehicles; completing general unit repairs; and maintaining an organized, clean, and safe yard. Success means units are cleaned, restocked, repaired, and staged before drivers arrive; equipment is operated safely and checked daily; damaged units are reported promptly; and the grounds and walkways remain orderly.

The position is based in Atlanta, Georgia, and is full-time and non-exempt. Compensation is $17–$19 per hour, with overtime during storm and event surges. The posting gives an example schedule of Monday through Friday with a 5 a.m. start, but labels it as an example. A pre-employment fitness-for-duty exam is required to confirm the ability to perform the physical tasks. Hiring includes a phone screen, an interview with the local manager, an online application and offer, and drug and alcohol testing, a fitness exam, and a background check. A start date is confirmed after these requirements clear.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to perform deep-cleaning tasks using pressure washers, specialized chemicals, and vacuum hoses to pump out and sanitize units.
• Comfort with basic hand and power tools.
• Ability to work as a team player, communicate clearly, and learn new skills quickly.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including being on your feet most of the day; lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds; bending, kneeling, and climbing; and working outdoors in heat, rain, and cold.
• Pass a pre-employment fitness-for-duty exam, drug and alcohol test, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Check in returning units and stage units for the next day's deliveries.
• Pressure wash and sanitize portable restrooms, trailers, and vehicles.
• Make general repairs to units and report items that need replacing.
• Move units safely around the yard using a forklift or telehandler.
• Keep the yard clean and safe through trash pickup, mowing, and weed-eating.
• Check equipment daily and report damaged units promptly.
