About The Position

Weinberger Waste Disposal, a Waste Connections Company, is hiring a dependable, safety-conscious Laborer / Heavy Equipment Operator in Gilbert, Arizona. This hands-on position involves operating a skid steer, assisting with daily yard operations, and helping keep the property safe, clean, and operating efficiently. The work is outdoors and physically demanding. Tools are provided. The schedule is Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays, on the day shift, with a 5:00 a.m. start time. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour, and the role offers a $2,500 stay-on bonus.

Requirements

Valid driver's license.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
Comfort operating or learning to operate a skid steer.
Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the shift.
Ability to lift, push, or pull more than 50 pounds.
Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Strong focus on safety, dependability, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Operate skid steers and assist with daily yard operations.
Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the property.
Repair fencing, enclosed walls, and other property damage.
Assemble, repair, and wash trash and recycling containers.
Perform general yard cleanup and maintenance.
Assist with cleanup of hazardous spills using required safety procedures.
Communicate equipment, property, and repair needs to management.
Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with company and OSHA safety standards.
Assist managers and team members with additional duties as needed.
