About The Position

Weinberger Waste Disposal, a Waste Connections Company, is hiring a dependable, safety-conscious Laborer / Heavy Equipment Operator in Gilbert, Arizona. This hands-on role involves outdoor work, equipment operation, and supporting yard operations. The schedule is Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays, on the day shift starting at 5:00 a.m. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour, and the posting offers a $2,500 stay-on bonus. Tools are provided. The employee will operate skid steers and assist with daily yard operations, property maintenance and repairs, container assembly and cleaning, and yard cleanup. The role also includes assisting with hazardous spill cleanup in accordance with required safety procedures, communicating equipment and repair needs to management, and maintaining a clean, safe work area under company and OSHA standards. Additional duties may be assigned by managers and team members. The position requires a valid driver's license, English communication skills, comfort operating or learning to operate a skid steer, and the ability to perform physically demanding work—including lifting, pushing, or pulling more than 50 pounds—throughout the shift. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and demonstrate safety awareness, dependability, and teamwork.

Requirements

Valid driver's license.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
Comfort operating or learning to operate a skid steer.

Responsibilities

Operate skid steers and assist with daily yard operations.
Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the property.
Repair fencing, enclosed walls, and other property damage.
Assemble, repair, and wash trash and recycling containers.
Perform general yard cleanup and maintenance.
Assist with hazardous spill cleanup using required safety procedures.
Communicate equipment, property, and repair needs to management.
Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with company and OSHA safety standards.
Assist managers and team members with additional duties as needed.
