About The Position

Move trailers to and from dock doors based on instructions from supervisors or the shipping office while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures. Ensure trailers are clean and adequately fueled. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. This position offers an opportunity to begin a career path within Lineage, with the potential for greater responsibilities and promotions. Requirements

At least 6 months of experience operating tractor trailers and/or heavy equipment.
Ability to understand instructions in the country's official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics.
Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18 kgs.; the required weight may be greater depending on the facility.
Ability to work a flexible schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

Check and set trailer and yard temperatures, and add fuel when needed.
Perform daily inspections of the spotter truck and equipment.
Report defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to vehicles or equipment.
Maintain logs of trailer movements and fuel.
Communicate with appropriate departments about daily trailer movements.
Check trailer inventory and report irregularities on log forms.
Perform sanitation duties on trailers as assigned.
Keep trailers clean and adequately fueled.
