About The Position
Drivers operate yard hostlers, pallet jacks, and forklifts in warehouses, depots, and/or terminals. They represent the company professionally and follow safety guidelines at all times. The role is based at 550 South Alameda Street, Compton, CA. Four openings are available: two day-shift positions, roughly 8 a.m.–5 p.m., and two night-shift positions, roughly 5 p.m.–2 a.m.
Requirements
- Valid CDL license and medical card.
- At least 12 months of recent CDL experience.
- Willingness to load and unload.
- Ability to understand written and spoken instructions.
- Safety awareness when working in crowded industrial spaces.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a neat and orderly storage lot to maximize efficiency in servicing customer needs.
- Account for records involving trailer numbers and vehicle positions.
- Interact daily with operations managers and/or depot managers and comply with safety requirements.
- Communicate courteously and professionally with operations and personnel using a cellular telephone or two-way radio.
- Use airline/electrical hookups and follow proper backing procedures.
- Follow company policies, guidelines, and quality procedures.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Inspect equipment daily and perform minor maintenance.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse and yard security.
- Load and unload as needed.
- Clean trailers when an assignment requires it.
