About The Position
Drivers operate yard hostlers, pallet jacks, and forklifts at warehouses, depots, and/or terminals. The role requires representing the company professionally and following safety guidelines at all times. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., with Saturdays as needed. Pay is $20–$25 per hour, based on experience.
Requirements
- Valid license.
- Willingness to load and unload.
- Ability to understand written and spoken instructions.
- Safety awareness when working in crowded industrial spaces.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a neat and orderly storage lot to maximize efficiency in servicing customer needs.
- Account for records involving trailer numbers and vehicle positions.
- Interact daily with operations managers and/or depot managers and comply with safety requirements.
- Communicate courteously and professionally with operations and personnel using a cellular telephone or two-way radio.
- Properly follow airline/electrical hookup and backing procedures.
- Follow company policies, guidelines, and quality procedures.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Inspect equipment daily and perform minor maintenance.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse and yard security.
- Load and unload when required.
- Clean trailers on some assignments.
