About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Yard Foreman to maintain the yard in good order and supervise the loading and unloading of trucks and the storage of equipment. The role directs daily yard operations and assigns and assists with the day-to-day work of Yard employees, while ensuring safe work practices, yard organization, and equipment readiness. The Yard Foreman also assists customers, inspects equipment and forklifts, and coordinates equipment status with the Yard Manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Experience in equipment shipping and receiving.
• Clear understanding of equipment utilization and safety requirements.
• Personal and professional integrity.
• Demonstrated use of tools and equipment.
• Ability to bend, squat, crouch, reach, and lift 50 pounds or more as required by the job.

Nice To Haves

• Three or more years of construction industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Assign day-to-day work to Yard employees and assist them with their daily duties.
• Ensure the yard is in good, safe working order and maintain its organization and cleanliness.
• Ensure safety policies, procedures, and safe work habits are followed; provide assistance and coaching as necessary.
• Direct Yard employees in daily yard operations.
• Attend weekly safety meetings and morning huddles.
• Assist walk-in customers by providing a high level of customer service.
• Check work orders to ensure the appropriate equipment is staged for loading.
• Assist customers by filling orders and loading trucks.
• Perform daily inspections of yard forklifts.
• Inspect returned equipment for damage sustained during the rental period.
• Maintain a checklist of equipment status.
• Help identify TBR/DBR fleet and communicate findings with the Yard Manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
