About The Position

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Non-DOT Yard Driver to transport and switch trailers and equipment between designated areas and docks. The role involves operating switching equipment, tractors, and straight trucks; sequencing moves to support efficient loading and unloading; loading and unloading trailers; and verifying product counts and condition. The driver also refuels and documents yard equipment, performs yard checks, inspects vehicles and supplies, and maintains a clean, safe docking area while reporting safety or maintenance concerns. This is a first-shift position, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., paying $21.30 per hour. Full-time employees may qualify for monthly attendance bonuses. The position is onsite.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least one year of verifiable experience driving, switching, or operating a commercial tractor.

Nice To Haves

General warehouse experience.
Forklift experience.

Responsibilities

Switch trailers and equipment to and from docks to maintain safe and efficient dock operations.
Maintain equipment fuel levels and refuel equipment at appropriate times.
Load and unload trucks, verify product counts and condition, and report overages, shortages, or damage.
Perform daily yard checks.
Secure loads and ensure they comply with local, state, and federal guidelines.
Prepare and maintain accurate records and logs as required by policies and procedures.
Inspect truck equipment and supplies, including tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water, and notify supervision of current or anticipated repair needs.
Comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Maintain a clean and safe docking area and report maintenance or safety issues to supervision.
