About The Position

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a First Shift Non-DOT Yard Driver. The role transports and switches trailers and equipment between designated areas and docks, and helps maintain efficient loading and unloading operations. The driver also refuels and maintains yard equipment, verifies product counts and condition, performs yard checks, and keeps the docking area clean and safe. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at $21.30 per hour. Full-time employees may qualify for monthly attendance bonuses.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of verifiable experience driving, switching, or operating a commercial tractor.

Nice To Haves

• General warehouse experience.
• Forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Transport and switch trailers and equipment to and from docks and assigned areas.
• Sequence switching activities to support efficient loading and unloading operations.
• Load and unload trucks and verify product counts and condition.
• Report product overages, shortages, and damage.
• Perform daily yard checks.
• Secure loads in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records and logs as required by policies and procedures.
• Maintain equipment fuel levels and refuel equipment at appropriate times.
• Inspect truck equipment and supplies, including tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water.
• Report current or anticipated repair needs to supervision.
• Maintain a clean and safe docking area and report maintenance or safety issues.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
