About The Position

As a Yard Driver, you are responsible for maintaining yard organization and safely spotting trailers at dock doors and throughout the yard. You update trailer moves and other yard activity using a hand-held device. The position typically reports to the Operations Manager and has no direct reports. No travel is required.

Requirements

• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid, active driver's license.
• Ability to load and unload heavy items.
• High school diploma and/or GED, or the knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through its completion.
• Competencies: Action Oriented, Communicates Effectively, Customer Focus, and Drives Results.

Responsibilities

• Perform general warehouse tasks as needed (10%).
• Safely spot trailers at dock doors and yard locations, drive yard trucks, and spot trailers at designated locations (80%).
• Audit the yard and ensure yard accuracy using the Yard Management System (10%).
