About The Position

The Wrapper packages products from production lines in the Bakery Manufacturing department. The role keeps pace with production quotas, maintains a clean work environment, and ensures products meet quality standards before packaging. It includes preparing products for freezer storage, preparing baking pans, loading and unloading ovens, checking finished products, and cleaning and sanitizing machinery and work areas. The position reports to the Director, Bakery Manufacturing and Production Manager and has no direct reports.

Requirements

• Ability to follow one- or two-step instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks.
• Ability to perform simple addition and subtraction, copy figures, count, and record information.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions, write identifying information, and request supplies orally or in writing.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience gained through on-the-job training.
• Ability to exert up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and negligible force constantly to move objects.
• Visual ability, with or without correction, to see from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet, perceive depth, distinguish colors, and maintain a field of vision.
• Ability to balance, stoop, kneel, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and pack products for the freezer, maintaining an accurate count on the freezer sheet.
• Prepare baking pans and load and unload the oven.
• Perform quality control on products at the end of the production line.
• Clean and sanitize production machinery and the work area.
• Review completed work with a supervisor and inform the supervisor when supplies are low or in shortage.
• Report to work as scheduled and on time.
• Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
