About The Position

The Wrapper packages products from production lines, maintains a clean work environment, and keeps pace with production quotas. The role ensures products meet quality standards before packaging. It prepares products for freezing, prepares baking pans, loads and unloads ovens, and performs quality checks and sanitation tasks. The position reports to the Director, Bakery Manufacturing and Production Manager.

Requirements

• Ability to follow one- or two-step instructions for routine, repetitive tasks.
• Ability to perform simple addition and subtraction, copy figures, count, and record information.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions, write identifying information, and request supplies orally or in writing.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience gained through on-the-job training.
• Ability to exert up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
• Visual ability to see from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet, with or without correction, including depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.
• Ability to balance, stoop, kneel, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and pack products for the freezer, keeping an accurate count on the freezer sheet.
• Prepare baking pans and load and unload the oven.
• Perform quality control on products at the end of the production line.
• Clean and sanitize production machinery and the work area.
• Review completed work with a supervisor.
• Inform a supervisor when supplies are low or shortages occur.
• Report to work as scheduled and on time.
• Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
