About The Position

National Wound Physician Group is hiring a Wound Care Physician in San Antonio, Texas. Physicians provide bedside wound management in post-acute care settings, including Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals. The mobile practice involves visiting facilities within a 40–60 mile radius, typically seeing 2–3 facilities and treating approximately 20–30 patients per day. Physicians conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility and complete real-time clinical documentation at the point of care using a proprietary wound-specific EMR. The position offers full-time and part-time schedules. Full-time physicians work 4–5 days per week, Monday through Friday, with a stated schedule of 7 a.m.–4 p.m.; part-time physicians work at least 3 days per week. There are no nights, on-call duties, or weekend clinical responsibilities. Paid onboarding training and a six-month wound care fellowship are provided. The role is W-2 employment, and work visa sponsorship is not available. W-2 physicians earn an average of $300,000 per year plus benefits for a 30-hour work week; the posted salary range is $200,000–$350,000 per year.

Requirements

Hold a full, active, unrestricted medical license in the state where practicing.
Commit to at least 3 weekdays per week, Monday through Friday.
Have an MD or DO medical degree.
