About The Position

National Wound Physician Group is hiring an Urgent Care Physician in San Antonio, Texas, for a mobile practice providing bedside wound management in post-acute care settings, including Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals. Physicians conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility and typically visit 2–3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20–30 patients per day within a 40–60-mile radius of the practice location. Clinical documentation is completed in real time at the point of care using a proprietary wound-specific EMR. The position offers full-time schedules of 4–5 weekdays per week, generally Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.; part-time opportunities are also available for a minimum of 3 days per week. There are no night, call, or weekend clinical responsibilities. The role includes paid onboarding training and a six-month wound care fellowship, with instruction from wound-certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors. Employment is W-2, and work visa sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

Hold an active, full, unrestricted medical license (MD or DO) in the state where practicing.
Commit to at least 3 weekdays per week, Monday through Friday.
