About The Position

The Wound Care/Hyperbaric Clinic RN brings passion to Texas Health where we are Better+Together. This full-time position is located at Texas Health Stephenville Wound Care, 725 North Graham St. Stephenville, TX 76401. The work hours are full-time, days, with variable hours between 8 AM-5 PM, Monday-Friday. No weekends or holidays are required. Texas Health Stephenville has a long history of providing quality care and its Wound Care Program offers advanced therapies for wound healing, with physicians and registered nurses trained in wound care and hyperbaric medicine. The hospital is also recognized as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence and has a cardiovascular rehabilitation program. The team is exceptional and continues to provide outstanding care and award-winning results.

Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire required
  • 1+ years as an RN required
  • BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
  • maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients
  • possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism
  • have basic computer skills using medical management application systems

Nice To Haves

  • CWCN or CHRN – within 60 days preferred
  • Wound care experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process: assesses the patient, plans the care of the patient, intervenes as appropriate, evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information.
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out-of-hospital transfers.
