About The Position

The Worship Pastor at Arbor Heights Community Church in Seattle, Washington, leads, plans, and facilitates the church’s Sunday gatherings, combining pastoral care with musical direction. The role provides leadership for worship, creative arts, and church communications to help people encounter Jesus and engage with the mission of AHCC. It may require licensing with The Christian & Missionary Alliance.

Proficiency in common computer programs, including email, production software, and Microsoft programs.
The position may require licensing with The Christian & Missionary Alliance.

Responsibilities

Disciple the church toward Jesus through music, leadership, and worship.
Design and execute Jesus-centered gatherings, overseeing worship and production elements.
Recruit, develop, and train teams to support a healthy, consistent worship ministry.
Provide musical and spiritual care and support for worship team members.
Oversee storytelling at Sunday gatherings.
Plan, organize, and coordinate seasonal events such as Christmas Eve, Worship Nights, and All Ages Services.
Oversee the church’s visual arts, décor, and design.
Align ministry work with AHCC’s mission, vision, and values.
Collaborate with other staff members and maintain a strong teamwork mentality.
Attend staff meetings and trainings.
Participate in continuing education events and training opportunities.
Actively participate in the community life of AHCC.
Champion a clear and compelling communications strategy that advances AHCC’s mission, vision, and values.
Oversee planning and execution of church-wide communications, including announcements, promotions, and special initiatives.
Provide creative direction for church branding, graphics, messaging, and digital communications.
Partner with ministry leaders to communicate events, stories, and opportunities for engagement effectively.
Ensure excellence and consistency in the visual presentation and communication experience of Sunday gatherings and church-wide ministries.
